Find a church with sound doctrine that professes the Old and New Testaments as the word of God's revelation and uses it as the source of authority. The foundational truth of Christianity begins with the belief that the Triune God has revealed the full and perfect will and heart of God for the world through the words of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments. 

Often we select a church based on the pastor or our emotional reaction to the sermons. The influence of the pastor is important, but we must focus more on the lives of the members of that church. Look to see whether you are among people who are sincerely loving God, who are trying to live like Jesus with all their imperfections. Observe with humility whether the overall mood of the church community reflects that. Try to keep the vantage point of an observer, not an evaluator or critic.


첫째, 신구약성경을 온전한 하나님의 계시의 말씀으로 고백하고, 권위의 원천으로 삼는, 바른 교리의 교회를 찾으십시오. 기독교의 기본 진리는 성삼위일체 하나님께서 신구약성경 66권의 말씀을 통해, 세상과 인간을 향한, 충분하고 온전하신 하나님의 의지와 마음을 계시하셨다고 고백하는 신념에서부터 시작하기 때문입니다.

교회 공동체 구성원들의 삶 가운데 하나님과 사람을 사랑하고, 예수님을 본받아 살고자 하는 일에 진정성이 있는지를 보십시오. 많은 사람들이 교회를 선택할 때, 목회자를 기준으로 선택하거나, 설교 말씀이 주는 감동의 정도를 기준 삼아 선택하곤 합니다. 목회자의 영향도 분명 중요하지만, 그것보다 더 중점을 두어 살펴야 하는 것은, 그 교회 성도들의 삶입니다. 하나님과 사람을 사랑하고, 예수님을 본받아 살고자 하는 일에, 완전하지는 못하더라도, 진정성이 있는가를 기준으로 살펴보십시오. 교회 공동체의 전반적인 분위기가 그것을 반영하는가를 겸손한 자세로 살펴보십시오. 평가자가 아닌 관찰자의 시점에서 말입니다.


Primero, encuentre una iglesia con sana doctrina que profese el Antiguo y Nuevo Testamento como la Palabra de la revelación de Dios, y la use como fuente de autoridad. La verdad fundamental del cristianismo comienza con la creencia de que el Dios Trino ha revelado la voluntad plena y perfecta y el corazón de Dios por el mundo a través de las palabras de los 66 libros del Antiguo y Nuevo Testamento.

A menudo seleccionamos una iglesia basada en el pastor o nuestra reacción emocional a los sermones. Carefully consider the missions or vision the church community is aiming for. Consider the value and necessity of those missions and visions for our world. Is the church on a mission to love and reconcile?

교회 공동체가 지향하고 있는 꿈이나 비전이 무엇인지를 관심을 갖고 살펴보십시오. 목표 삼고 있는 그 꿈이나 비전이 우리가 살고 있는 이 세상에 얼마나 필요한 것이고, 가치있는 것인지를 기준삼아 생각해보십시오. .

Considere cuidadosamente las misiones, o la visión a la que apunta la comunidad de la iglesia. Considere el valor y la necesidad de esas misiones y visiones para nuestro mundo. ¿Está la iglesia en misión de amar y reconciliarse?

Ideally, you will find a church that is geographically close to you. Participating in a church community that is physically far away can not just be an inconvenience, but also a hurdle to the Christian life. We believe God must have prepared a good church community nearby. We recommend you find one near you.

If you are already living your life of faith in a local church, we recommend you do not change church communities, but instead continue to live out your faith in that one community. It is not wrong to move church communities due to uncomfortable or harmful reasons; but it may be beneficial and worthwhile to work through inconveniences or difficulties, seeking to be restored in Jesus together. This is the work of our missional call.

The church community is a model of the kingdom of God where people who want to love Jesus Christ gather. When looking for a church, we pray you find true meaning and the purpose of life together in Jesus.  Try not to look for a church with a consumer’s attitude by searching for one that suits your tastes. Rather search in Jesus, with humbleness and wisdom in your heart, by having an attitude to find true and eternal friends. We pray that God will lead you to the right church.

덧붙여, 이미 지역 교회에서 신앙생활하고 있으신 분은, 가급적이면 교회 공동체를 옮기지 말고, 한 공동체에서 지속적으로 신앙생활하시기를 권면 드립니다. 인간 관계상의 불편함이나 어떤 특정 이유들로 인하여, 교회 공동체를 옮기는 것이 잘못된 것은 아니지만, 가급적 그러한 불편함이나 어려움들을 예수님 안에서 인내하고, 다시 함께 회복되며 세워짐을 추구하는 것이 훨씬 더 유익하고, 가치있는 일이기 때문입니다.

교회는 예수 그리스도를 사랑하고자 하는 사람들이 모인, 하나님 나라의 모형된 공동체입니다. 교회를 찾으실 때는, 소비자적인 자세로 쇼핑하듯 기호에 맞는 교회를 찾을 것이 아니라, 위와 같은 기준을 따라, 함께 예수님 안에서 삶의 진정한 의미와 목적을 찾으며, 진정하고 영원한 친구를 찾고자 하는 자세를 갖고, 겸손한 마음으로 살피는 것이 가장 지혜롭습니다. 하나님께서 선하게 인도하시길 바랍니다.


Idealmente encontrará una iglesia que esté geográficamente cerca de usted. Participar en una comunidad de la iglesia que está físicamente demasiado lejos puede ser un inconveniente, pero también un obstáculo para la vida cristiana. Creemos que Dios debe haber preparado una buena comunidad de iglesia cercana. Le recomendamos que encuentre una cerca de usted.

Si ya está viviendo su vida de fe en una iglesia local, le recomendamos que no cambie las comunidades de la iglesia y continúe viviendo su fe en esa comunidad.
